Justice & Security
Since 2003 the KRG has extended every effort to provide a safe and secure Region for children, families, and citizens of all ages, ethnicities, and religions. The KRG has also actively improved legal and judicial systems in order to support and strengthen the rule of law throughout Kurdistan. This has included coordination with parliament to better implement legislation as well as coordination with the judicial system through the KRG Ministry of Justice.

Prime Minister Barzani receives UK senior judges

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his government’s full support to the cooperation between the Judicial Council of the Kurdistan Region and UK judicial authorities that would help to further develop the judiciary experience in the Kurdistan Region.
Kurdistan Regional Government strongly condemns Khanaqin terrorist attack

KRG Spokesperson Safeen Dizayee in a statement strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Khanaqin that killed two civilians and injured others.
Court of Cassation's new judges sworn in

Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani attended the oath-taking ceremony of judges to the Court of Cassation. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani and a number of Kurdistan Regional Government officials.
