Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received representatives of the Chambers of Commerce of Diyarbakir, Mardin, Urfa, Van, Batman, Şırnak and Cizre.

The delegation, which also included the Turkish Consul General to the Kurdistan Region Hakan Karacay, thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government for encouraging the development of economic and trade relations with Turkey and expressed their willingness to strengthen such relations. They proposed opening a permanent trade center in the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani thanked the government and the people of Turkey for their support to the Kurdistan Region during challenging times in the past.

He expressed his support to expand trade between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey and hoped relations in other fields would also be strengthened.
