Prime Minister Barzani continues meetings with world leaders on the second day of MSC

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani continued his meetings with world leaders on the sidelines during the second day of Munich Security Conference in Germany.

Prime Minister Barzani met Iraqi Prime Minister, Haider Abadi, who expressed his hope to resolve the issues of salaries, airports, oil, border crossings, dams and other issues with positive results.

Prime Minister Barzani stressed the commitment of the Kurdistan Region to rebuild confidence through dialogue and the implementation of the Constitution in the interest of both sides.

The Kurdistan leader also met Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Khaled Jarrah Al Sabah.

Prime Minister Barzani also met a joint committee of Foreign Relations and Defense Committees of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD), including Niles Annen, Rolf Metsnich and Fredes Villegentro.

Later, Prime Minister Barzani met with former Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden. In addition to stating the appreciation of the people and the Kurdistan Regional Government for the friendship of Mr. Biden and the other friends of Kurdistan in the United States, Mr. Barzani, presented a brief and update about the dialogue between Erbil-Baghdad. He expressed the hope that this dialogue results in positive steps forward and problem-solving based on the Constitution.

Prime Minister Barzani then met with UK Minister of State for the Middle east and North Africa, and Minister of State for International Development, Alistair Burt.

Prime Minister also Barzani met with Swedish Minister of Defense, Peter Hultqvist.

The Kurdistan Region delegation comprises of Masrour Barzani, Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Council, Dr. Fuad Hussein, Chief of Staff to the Kurdistan Region Presidency, Falah Mustafa, Head of Department of Foreign Relations, and Dilshad Barzani, representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Germany.
