Sinan Abdulkhalq Ahmed Çelebi - Minister of Trade and Industry
Mr Sinan Çelebi was appointed Minister of Trade and Industry in the sixth KRG cabinet in October 2009, following the July 2009 Kurdistan Region parliamentary elections. He was reappointed in the seventh cabinet, on 5 April 2012.
Born in Erbil in 1944, Mr Çelebi gained a Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering in 1972. He also has a Masters degree in Architectural Engineering from the Middle East University in Ankara, Turkey.
Mr Çelebi founded the Iraqi Engineering Consultancy Bureau in Baghdad, and worked as an engineer, architect and contractor in Erbil. Previously he was the Deputy Chairman of the Ihsan Dogramachi Charitable Foundation.
